The safety grating achieves its protective function by means of the infrared light reflection between the transmitter and the receiver. Light interference can be mainly classified into two types: strong light interference and reflection interference. 

Strong light interference

Usually caused by high-power light sources near the grating, such as certain industrial lighting lamps, welding arc lights, etc. This strong light directly shines onto the receiver, making it difficult for it to distinguish normal infrared pulse signals. The solution is to replace the strong light source with an ordinary lighting lamp, or adjust the installation position of the grating to avoid the area directly exposed to the strong light. 

Reflection interference

When there are strong reflective objects such as mirrors, glass facades, or smooth metal plates near the grating, the infrared light emitted by the emitter may be reflected back to the receiver, causing signal confusion and even triggering errors. The solution is to remove these reflective objects or ensure that the grating is kept at a sufficient distance from the reflective surface during installation. 

Installation Suggestions 

When setting up the safety grating, make sure to check in advance whether there are any strong light sources or reflective objects around. 

Try to install in areas with relatively stable lighting conditions. 

If interference cannot be avoided, a light-synchronous type grating with stronger anti-interference capability can be selected.
