The protection height and the optical axis spacing of the safety barrierare the core parameters that affect the protection effect. Choosing the right ones can ensure no blind spots and no false alarms.

  • How to select the protection height

  • Core principle: Cover all dangerous areas

  • Calculation formula: Protection height = Maximum height of the dangerous area - Minimum height + 100mm redundancy

  • When installed on the outside of the equipment, an additional 50–100mm should be added to eliminate blind spots

  • How to select the optical axis spacing

  • Hand protection (finger protection): 14–15mm

  • Protecting the palm / forearm: 20–30mm

  • Protecting the body: Above 30mm

  • For high safety level (Type 4), the safety distance needs to be matched to avoid failure due to excessive spacing

  • Summary of selection: The protection height is determined by the height of the dangerous area, and the spacing is selected based on the protected area. A reasonable combination can ensure stable protection.
