Safety grilles, as the core protective equipment for high-risk scenarios in industrial production, the stability of their signal transmission directly affects production safety.   • Electromagnetic interference is the main source of interference in the industrial site. The strong electromagnetic radiation generated by the operation of industrial equipment such as frequency converters and servo motors will directly interfere with the infrared signal transmission; when the optical cable and the power line are parallel and the shielding layer is damaged and not grounded, it will cause electromagnetic coupling interference; the high-frequency signals of radio frequency and radar equipment will also penetrate the equipment casing and affect the internal circuits.

Dust, oil stains, and other impurities adhering to the lenses, as well as smoke and strong light, can cause beam attenuation or signal saturation. If the environmental temperature and humidity exceed the rated range, excessive humidity will cause condensation, which can damage the internal components. The high-frequency vibration during equipment operation is likely to cause the grating to shift and the lenses to loosen, thereby disrupting the alignment of the beam. 

  • Improper human operation during installation and wiring can directly cause signal abnormalities. Long wiring cables and loose, oxidized connectors will result in signal loss. Mixing signal lines with power lines will introduce power interference. Inaccurate alignment between the transmitter and receiver, and excessive installation spacing, will cause instability in the transmission of the light beam. When used in conjunction with controllers and PLCs, mismatched signal protocols and response times will lead to signal interaction conflicts. 

  • The instability of the power supply system is a significant underlying cause of grating signal interference. If the power supply voltage exceeds the rated range, drops or surges, it will prevent the internal circuits from functioning properly. Poor-quality power adapters that generate high ripple voltage will interfere with the signal processing module through the power cord. Improper grounding methods and excessive grounding resistance in the equipment will allow the interference signals to be conducted to the grating through the ground wire.
